"I had a good time and expressed my feelings; I should do more of it."Student (Year 8)

Our Trip To Malta

A couple of weeks ago, we sent Phil Togwell and 24-7 Prayer’s filmmaker, Nick Beasley, to visit our friends in Malta.

On the first day of their short trip Phil and Nick visited a school for boys with behavioural and educational difficulties, where Silvana Cardona, a teacher in the school and one of the Prayer Spaces in Schools Malta team, has been hosting prayer spaces for the last couple of years.

It was great to be with some of the boys as they explored the prayer space, and then to interview them about their experiences. We also filmed with some primary and secondary school pupils who visited the school to use the prayer space. Early in the new year, Nick will be editing this film-footage into a short video about Prayer Spaces in Schools across Europe.

On the second day of the trip, Phil delivered a prayer spaces training seminar for more than 60 school staff, Catholic priests, nuns and other church workers. Silvana emailed us afterwards to say; “For me, these two days were amazing, bringing together lots of emotions, new insights and ideas, meeting new people and also very encouraging to keep on going and setting new prayer spaces with children, youngsters and adults.”
