'I think the greatest impression was made on the staff, a few of whom had been skeptical or uncomfortable with the idea of prayer spaces. These teachers visibly thawed as they went round the activities with the children and in their feedback one teacher suggested they should include more about prayer on the curriculum.'Volunteer (England)

This activity encourages students to remember someone - a friend or a family member - who is missing from their lives. It provides a safe place for students to express how they feel, and it encourages them to remember with gratitude. This activity could be especially useful when a school community has suffered the loss of a student or a member of staff.

"When someone you love dies, you don't lose them all at once, you lose them in pieces over a long time." John Irvine, 'A Prayer For Owen Meany'
