"Visiting Parc Eglos school was a privilege in itself so it was a very pleasant surprise to observe a group of pupils actively engaged in learning about prayer and faith. Schools are busy places and do not always lend themselves to times of quiet. The Prayer Space is clearly a place where children can take time to learn about themselves, each other and the role faith plays in modern life."Derek Thomas, MP for St Ives (Cornwall)

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing the simple pleasures and acknowledging everything that we receive. Gratitude requires time to reflect, to stop and think.

This activity encourages students to think about their lives, and to identify the things that they are grateful for... even if some things aren't great.

There are other prayer activities in our library that focus on gratitude and being thankful. This activity involves encouraging the students to creatively express their thankfulness by moulding something for which they are thankful out of play dough.
