"Our school motto is 'Let Your Light Shine' and we strongly believe that prayer spaces enable our children to do just that. We never cease to be moved by the empathy and deep thought that our children show - sharing their hearts, wondering about the world around them and reaching out to others in their words and prayers." Deputy Head Teacher (Guildford Diocese)

This activity invites students to reflect on world issues - wars, conflicts, etc. It can also be used to help students reflect on how they feel following a tragic event, and it gives them an opportunity to express these feelings. In particular, this activity invites students to think about the people who were or are involved.

Students are invited to look at images from around the world (e.g. wars, conflicts, natural disaster) or of a recent event (e.g. fire, terrrorist attack). Ask - Who has been hurt? Who is helping? Who, if anyone, caused this? what do you hope or wish or pray for those involved?
