Stories are more than entertainment. Good stories invite us to join in. These prayer activities invite students to participate and engage in the Christmas story as it unfolds, to consider the thoughts and feelings of some of the principle characters, and to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings as well.
One of our core values states that “Prayer Spaces ensure that children and young people feel safe and are effectively protected from harm.” Prayer spaces should be safe places, and therefore you should have suitable recruitment and safeguarding processes in place for all employees and volunteers.
We all experience trouble and hard times. Sometimes the circumstances and situations around us are hard, and then sometimes it’s our inner-life - our feelings and fears and anxieties - that are hard. This activity encourages students to consider how they face and get through these hard times, and how this can become part of their personal development.
