"Visiting Parc Eglos school was a privilege in itself so it was a very pleasant surprise to observe a group of pupils actively engaged in learning about prayer and faith. Schools are busy places and do not always lend themselves to times of quiet. The Prayer Space is clearly a place where children can take time to learn about themselves, each other and the role faith plays in modern life."Derek Thomas, MP for St Ives (Cornwall)

In our lives we come into contact with all sorts of people; friends, parents, family members, next door neighbours, teachers, our friends’ parents, people that work in shops, other children at the park… the list goes on. Some of the people that we meet may be happy or they be sad, we might enjoy being with them or we might not, we might consider them to be people that we love or people that we don’t know that well.

This activity is an opportunity for students to think about someone they know and to pray for them. It might be that they want to say thank you to God for them, it might be that they want to say sorry for something they did to them, and it might be that they want to ask God to help them.
