‘The Changing Landscape of Education’

This bridge is in Honduras, and the photos was taken just after Hurricane Mitch blew through and devastated the whole region. Sadly, thousands of people died and the local economy was destroyed.

Furthermore, as a result of the massively increased volume of water, the river burst it's banks and flooded the entire area. When the waters eventually receded, the river had settled into a new route. Years spent building the new bridge were wasted almost overnight.

Chris asked if we needed to pay closer attention to the 'changing landscape' in education. The risk, he said, if we don't, is that we may find ourselves with beautifully constructed projects and ministries that don't actually take people anywhere.

Unfortunately, we didn't manage to record the first couple of minutes of Chris's excellent talk, but you can download and listen to most of it by clicking on the link on the right.
