Training Events and Workshops, June and July 2012

On Wednesday 20th June, Phil Togwell and Ella Knapp will be in Hove for 'Equip', a training workshop for children's, youth and schools workers hosted by the Diocese of Chichester. For more information, click here.

At the end of that week, on Saturday 23rd June, Tim Abbott will be in Leicester for the Christian Muslim Forum Conference, an event for Christian and Muslim school staff. Tim is hosting a workshop called 'Developing Prayer Spaces in 'Secular' Schools'. For more information, click here.

On Monday 25th June, Phil will be in Eastbourne with Jennie Osborn and Erik Cornelisse and the Youth Leaders Network. Phil will be speaking about the theology and values of Prayer Spaces in Schools and participating in a Q&A session around engaging young people in prayer. For more information, click here.

The following week, on Tuesday 2nd July, Phil will be in Guernsey, with Becky Hall and the PACE team. Phil will be meeting with church leaders, youth and schools workers and school staff from across the island, and then speaking at the PACE Annual General Meeting about Prayer Spaces in Schools. The following day, on Wednesday 3rd July, Phil will be in Wigan, speaking about Prayer Spaces in Schools as part of a 'Mental Health and Spirituality' day conference. We'll post more details about this on our Events page as soon as we get some.

And finally, from 9th-13th July, Rach Warwich and some of the 'Orison' team will be in Bradford. They'll be installing the 'Orison' Prayer Space in Bradford Cathedral for people to visit and use that week, and Rach will be hosting a training workshop for school staff, children's and youth workers on Tuesday 10th July. Prayer Spaces in Schools, Day Conference 2012

At the start of October last year, we hosted a one day Prayer Spaces in Schools Conference in London. We thought that 40 people might come, but nearly 120 of you turned up, and we had an amazing day together. Since then, the number of Prayer Spaces in schools has more than doubled.

This year, we're planning to have at least +three+ amazing Prayer Spaces in Schools Conference days together... and here's the very first details;

+ London, 3rd October

+ Edinburgh, 5th October

+ Leeds, 12th October

(...it's possible that there will be one further location, but we're still working on that)

We'll post more details about the programme, the venues, the themes and workshops, our special guest contributors, and the costs over the next few weeks. We just wanted to give everyone the dates now. Please mark them in your diaries - it will be fantastic to see you!
