The Prayer Spaces in Schools team are hosting their first ever Day Conference on Wednesday 5th October 2011, and we’d love you to come and join in with us.

“It’s going to be a very significant day for the development of Prayer Spaces in Schools,” says Phil Togwell (team leader, 24-7 Prayer UK). “The programme looks great, and there’s something for everyone - both for those who have not yet hosted a Prayer Space and want to know how to go about it, and for those who have hosted loads of Prayer Spaces and who are now asking exciting questions about how to establish something permanent in the life of their local school. We can’t wait for both of these conversations.

I’ve no doubt that we’ll hear some stories from recent Prayer Spaces around the UK and Ireland, as well as news about Prayer Spaces being planned in Hong Kong, South Africa and even the United States. And then we’re also going to take some time in the afternoon to examine the theology/theory behind Prayer Spaces in Schools, and discuss together how this might develop. Like I said, it’s going to be a significant day.

If you haven’t already done so, we’d love you to book in. We honestly think that you’ll enjoy the day, whether you’re a teacher or a student, a minister or a schools/youth worker... and we’d love to meet you.”

Booking is really simple. Just send an email to Mandy Moo at mandy@prayerspacesinschools.com to confirm your desire to book in, and then send a cheque for £5 (payable to ’24-7 Prayer’) to Mandy at 8a Tile Yard Studios, Tile Yard Road, London, N7 9AH.

P.S. News just in... a friend in Belize has invited Prayer Spaces in Schools to take a team to their rainforest-base, to train a large group of teachers and students to run Prayer Spaces in Schools themselves. Amazing, hey?
