Marilyn Tucknott, Commissioning Lead for C&YP Mental Health, Wigan, writes;
"Much training in promoting mental health focuses on creating an environment of support for emotional well-being - through psychological and learning factors. Much intervention in mental health considers the health dimension – through interventions that are effective with specific disorders.
This conference is an opportunity to consider the spiritual dynamic - the inner sense that leads to an experience of wholeness, purpose and meaning- that leads to personal peace and mental wealth.
This conference is, therefore, open to people of all faiths and none and will be of interest to School Pastoral Leads, MH Champions, Gateway staff, Heads and Governors of Faith Schools, NHS staff working with C&YP, Sunday Schools and Church Pastoral leads, therapists and counsellors, PSHE&C curriculum leads and many more.
Phil Togwell (Prayer Spaces in Schools) will be delivering a 30-minute presentation as part of the programme on 'Prayer Spaces - meeting spiritual needs in schools settings'.
Programme : by a regional therapist, head teacher, national leads and Wigan’s MH commissioner.
